Let’s look at how CBD can help with memory loss
“Cognitive impairment”, the scientific term for memory loss, is one of the greatest fears for people over 50. Most people have experienced entering a room without remembering why forgetting someone’s name or losing keys at least once in a lifetime. However, can you imagine that this happens more often, combined with severe behavior and changes in thinking?
The fear of developing a debilitating form of dementia, such as Alzheimer’s disease, is real for many people. This same fear is the reason why learning more about CBD, including its effects on memory, is so intriguing. Whether it is a general memory loss or Alzheimer’s, there is scientific research that points to the potential of CBD to help brain function and improve memory.

According to a study published in Frontiers in Pharmacology, researchers Tim Karl and Carl Group found that CBD promotes neurogenesis. Which essentially reduces the impairment of cognitive functions. In a preclinical animal study, mice were injected with an induced Alzheimer’s disease and then received daily CBD treatments. CBD was effective in reversing the cognitive deficits of mice. Meaning that the same could apply to humans. Although more studies are required on humans, these results seem promising for CBD, and show how it could help with memory loss.
